The film made $8.8 billion in its first four weeks of release, with a reported $1.5 billion in ticket sales and $1 billion in merchandise sales.

This year’s list of the highest paying films comes from a new study by Box Office Mojo.
Among the films that made the list is The Mummy, which earned $3.2 billion in the first two weeks of its release, which is the fifth-highest grosser of all time.
Also making the list was The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, which made $3 billion in two weeks.
In fact, it’s the fifth highest-earning film ever made by a single studio.
Despite this record, it didn’t make the top five.
Instead, the list features movies such as The Wolf of Wall Street, The Wolf Among Us, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, The Secret Life of Pets, Transformers: Age of Extinction and The Revenant.
