What’s next for ‘Deepwater Horizon’? A new feature documentary from Quentin Tarantino
This year, Quentin Tarantinos “Deepwater,” a feature film about the 2009 oil spill at the BP Deepwater Horizon drilling rig in the Gulf of Mexico, is coming to theaters on March 8, 2019.
The feature, directed by Scott Cooper, follows a group of survivors, including survivors of the BP disaster, as they attempt to build a new life in New Orleans and the surrounding area.
The documentary is being produced by James Cameron, James Franco, and Sam Mendes, who previously collaborated on the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise.
The cast includes Will Forte, Mark Wahlberg, Robert Downey Jr., and Chris Hemsworth.
It was first announced at SXSW in February.
