‘Spontaneous’ film series to go online from UK – TalkSport
A series of spontaneous films from UK will go online in the coming months, with an aim to “change the way we live and work”.
The films, which include a film by actor-director John Green, will be available on the UK website from May 1.
The project, which was announced by the Film Society of Lincolnshire in April, follows the launch of the “Spontaneously” website, which is now live in the UK.
The first two films, “Catching Up” and “Catch Me If You Can”, were both filmed in the days following the London bombings.
They were made in the same studio as “Citizenfour” and feature actor Sean Penn.
The third film, “Lonely,” is based on the “Lincolnshire Famine” documentary.
It is the first of three planned films.
The UK’s independent film industry has been struggling with funding cuts and a decline in film revenues since 2011, and the UK Film and Video Act 2010 is the latest measure to address that.
